I can remember the only time as a child that I was allowed to paint on a real wall in a real house was at the Ritze's. It was primer paint and it was yellow. Being allowed to paint was a privilege. I will always remember Neil's voice and him telling story after story. Also he introduced his love of music to his girls and we played Tom Jones over and over again along with Barbra Streisand. Neil, enjoy the tunes and keep on laughing.
Peace to his loving family and all the joyus memories they cherish.

My deepest condolences to Barbara & his family on the passing of Neil. I remember Ritzie's Station - all my life! My dad, Pete Donohue, ran the License Bureau at Ritzie's. I'd come over to type out the forms everyday after school. Neil was always so nice, but he always had a joke! Most went over my head - but he was really kind, nice guy! The last time I saw Neil & Barbra was at a therapy session a few years ago. My dad was there too. They got to speak just like old times. Neil was a wonderful person, man, husband, father. My thoughts & prayers are with his loved ones at this very difficult time. Katie Donohue

The best father-in-law in the world!!!!!!!! I'm going to miss your infectious smile, laugh and overall love and commitment you had for your family, as well as allowing me to call you 'Dad' since I became part of the family many years ago.
Have fun with Frank and Bob in heaven and know that we'll take care of Mom until she's with you again,

To the Ritze family. My heart goes out to you all right now. I know the feelings you are having and I wanted to share my sincere sympathy from the Grant family. Neil has left a great impression on me in many ways. His deep commitment to his family and his intense work ethic to make sure his family had so many opportunities in life. I will always remember going with him to deliver the paper so early in the morning. He did it every day with stories and laughter before he went to his day job. He had an amazing skill to tell a story or a joke while signing laughing and putting a smile on your face. Lastly to his wife Barbra I am so sorry for your loss. The two of you achieved so many beautiful things together with your love.
