My Sundays will never be the same. I was fortunate to be the one to take communion to Pauline and Doie. It was always a wonderful visit, filled with lots of stories, tales of their travels, and it was always focused around their large families. After Pauline passed, Doie and I continued our visits, with Doie adding more and more jokes and funny stories. But again, the visit was not complete without talking about the family. He loved his family so much, and he would always tell me who was having a birthday that week or month. I will miss Doie so much, but I know I was one of the lucky ones to get to know him and love him.
