Hello Mrs. Lamping, Lisa, Kim and Jeff; I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Lamping. I was in Cincinnati this weekend and my Mom remembered to tell me that he had passed away 2 weeks ago. I am deeply sorry for your loss! And, my prayers are with you during this time but also for Mr. Lamping. I thought the world of your husband and father. He was a great man, a great boss and a great mentor. There wasn't anyone that loved pharmacy more than him and it showed day in and day out. I am all the better for having had the opportunity to just simply know him and spend such a wonderful part of my life with him. God Bless you all and God Bless Mr. Lamping! John Kaiser

My sincerest sympathy to the Lamping family. I always enjoyed Paul's visits at Kroger. He always had a smile on his face and a great attitude. He would make a crummy day turn around just walking in the pharmacy. I've never met anyone who enjoyed his profession as much as Paul. He wanted everyone to be the best pharmacist possible and learn something everyday. He was a wonderful representative for the profession. Paul was a wonderful person and he will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Ecclesiastes 7:1,2 tells us that a good name is better than good oil, and the day of death is better than the day of birth...This is because when a person is born we don't know what sort of person a person will be...But at the conclusion of a person's life we can make the statement as to what kind of person a person was...Mr. Lamping was a good person who left me with fond memories of his sweet smile, endearing personality and a sweet kiss on the cheek whenever he came into the office...My heartfelt condolences go out to his dear family...Thank you for sharing him with us.

During the NABP Convention in New Orleans years back (2 weeks before Hurricane Katrina), a group of us went to the Commanders Restaurant for dinner one night. It was Jim Turner, Greg Braylock, Suzanne and Dick Wuest, Larry Kost, Bob Giacalone, Betty Gregg, myself, and Paul and Arlene. The waitress took a photo of us, and I have had that photo hanging on my wall in my den ever since. I will always remember other NABP Conventions and District meetings Paul and Arlene were at and many fond memories. Always at the monthly board meetings during my first term and giving his "kind, motivational speech" during the reciprocity hearings encouraging pharmacists to "protect your license" and take care of the patient. He was a giant for the pharmacy profession. Thanks for your kindness, wisdom, and friendship Paul, and for the memories. Kevin

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I only had the pleasure of meeting Paul this past fall as I was assisting Dean MacKinnon at the UC College of Pharmacy. I knew right away he was very special. Such a kind and sweet nature. He loved talking about his time working in the pharmacy field and sharing his knowledge with others. All of us at the college will miss him.

Very sad to hear of Paul's passing. I really enjoyed visiting with Paul whenever he came into the Board office. Either in my office or Mark's office, he was always willing to talk about the state of pharmacy and other topics as well. Since I retired I have missed speaking with him. He will be missed by the profession as well as by friends and family.

Dear Lamping family, I was very sadden when I heard of Paul's passing. I was always happy when Paul would visit the board office. Looked forward to the hug and the kiss on the cheek he wold give. We always said Mrs. Lamping dressed him well. When Paul would call me, it was like talking to my dad or grandfather. He is a very caring person and loved his job as a pharmacist. We lost one of the best pharmacist the profession has ever had. Thank you for sharing him with us at the board! Debbie Gatto
