Susan, your text you sent me about the passing of your wonderful Rick was read with a very heavy heart. I am so fortunate to know this true & honorable man. I talked with him recently while he was hospitalized & both enjoyed chatting. I first met Rick while he was a Lt. with the Blue Ash PD & he was assigned to find a new Duty Badge & flew out to Southern CA. He really presented himself as a very Professional Police Officer & a humble human being. He attended the Ohio Police Chiefs Conference & Trade Show in Cleveland. I will always remember how he was instrumental in assisting me in getting the Ohio State Police Dept. to change badge manufacturers because of his satisfaction with Sun Badge Company! Again Susan I know this is a very dark & lonely time in your life & Your Rick is in Heaven & no longer suffering . Rick gave me so much courage thru regular phone calls ,during my battle of going thru Chemo therapy (double lymphoma non Hodgkin colon cancer) & I can totally relate to all of the pain to trying to ward off this insidious disease he experienced! Rest In Peace my Brother . God Bless the Burdick Family
