Obituary of Betty Lou Ormsby

Betty Lou Ormsby (nee Goesling), 88 years old, passed away Monday November 18, 2019 surrounded by family. Daughter of the late Lou and Ruth Goesling. Loving wife of the late Raymond Ormsby. Survived by her children Mike Ormsby, Jeff Ormsby, Holly (Bob) Castrucci, Tim Ormsby (Homer Dewald)and her dog Lucas. Her grandchildren Heidi (Chad) Parker, Nic Castrucci, Bobby (Lauren) Castrucci, Christina (Shaun) Castrucci-Longbottom, Samantha (Nick) Castrucci-Rauch, Wade Macke, Ally (Chassidy) Macke-Simos. Great-Grandmother to Mea, Ayden, Caden, Austin, Paisley, Sophia, Rylee, Olivia, Wyatt, Jacob, Addison, Samuel, and Jaxton. Betty was a long-time resident of Silverton. She was an active member of the Playfield Mother’s Club, Silverton Pool, The Silverton Fire Department’s Ladies Auxiliary, and Block Watch. Betty was a member of Walnut Hills-Avondale United Methodist Church for many years up until it’s closure. She then became a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church where she loved making caramels, St. Paul Presents, and Sally Circle. If it was a Thursday night, Betty could be found at Chicken on the Run with her friends and family. Being a grandma was Betty’s greatest joy. Whether it was going on field trips, attending sporting events, dance recitals, or anything that involved being with her grandchildren, it brought her so much happiness.Visitation on Thursday November 21st at 10 am until time of funeral service at 11 am at St. Paul United Methodist Church 8221 Miami Ave, Madeira, OH 45243. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Silverton-Deer Park Firefighter’s Protection Association 3875 Alta Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45236 or St. Paul United Methodist Church.
