Obituary of Ryan Zachary Pike

PIKE Ryan Zachary passed away suddenly on March 31, 2020 at the age of 33. Ryan was born on August 10th, 1986 to David and Donna (nee Dunn) Pike in Cincinnati Ohio. Ryan was a happy child and very rambunctious from an early age. He was known for being incredibly smart, charismatic, funny and had an enthusiasm that lit up the room. He loved to fish, hunt, and camp, creating many special memories shared by his father Dave and the Pike side of the family. Special family friend Lori along with her daughter Maria, blessed him with many memories of boating, vacationing in Montana, and an amazing trip of a lifetime to Costa Rica. It was because of this trip to Costa Rica that Ryan decided that was where he wanted to propose to Sarah. Later that year Ryan married Sarah and became an instant family with her children, Mckenzie and Parker. They were the loves of his life. Ryan looked up to his big brother Josh for advice and comfort. He adored him. Through Josh, Ryan became a godfather to Arya, and uncle to Adalynn and Dominic. He loved them to pieces. Some of Ryan fondest memories were from the Dunn family holiday gatherings. From putting on talent shows to dancing the night away in Aunt Jackie’s winter wonderland with his Uncle Donnie, Aunt Bonni, Grandma RoRo, and cousins. It is from them he got his zest for life. Ryan loved God and never lost his Catholic faith. He was a beautiful soul and had a heart of gold. He always had a special place in his heart for those who were vulnerable to the harsh words and actions of others, as he knew what that felt like. His life was cut way too short. His memories will fill our hearts forever. Ryan lives on as our angel of acceptance, change and hope. We are sure that he is catching the bass of his life right now with his Grandpa Pike, and we all look forward to the day we can watch him “Dancing in Heaven.” Ryan is survived by his wife Sarah, stepchildren Mckenzie and Parker; Parents, Donna and David Pike; brother and sister in law, Joshua and Jennifer Pike, goddaughter and niece, Arya Pike, niece, Adalynn Pike and nephew, Dominic Pirigyi; grandmother, Roselyn Pierce; grandmother, Maureen Pike; godmother and godfather, Claudia and Dennis Beyer; several aunts, uncles and cousins; special family friends Lori Gardner Sommer and Maria Sommer. Ryan was predeceased by grandfather, George Donald Dunn and grandfather, Victor Pike. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, July 24th at 1PM at St. Gertrude Parish, 6543 Miami Ave. (45243) Madeira.
