Jodelle Crosset, beloved wife of the late Richard B. Crosset, Jr., passed away on April 1, 2021 at The Deupree House Cottages in Hyde Park. She was 90 years old.
Jodelle raised her three children, David McKenzie (Carla), Kristen McKenzie Bell (Chuck), and the late Kathryn McKenzie Atkinson in Indian Hill, later moving to Hyde Park. Jodelle was an avid tennis player and golfer, and enjoyed world traveling nearly until her death. She was also a loving stepmother to 4 stepchildren, Carolyn Crosset Wagnonseller (Bob), Meredith Crosset Wurtzler (Roger), Richie Crosset and the late Debra Crosset Warkany (Joe). Jodelle was “Nonnie” to 6 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Jodelle was an avid tennis player and golfer, and enjoyed world traveling nearly until her death. She was also a gifted piano player and occasionally hosted “ 8 handed" mini-concerts at her home, using her two parlor grand pianos. Jodelle and her longtime friend, the late Mary West, played piano concerts together at various venues in Cincinnati for many years.
A memorial service for Jodelle will take place on June 19th, 2021 at Knox Presbyterian Church, 3400 Michigan Avenue in Hyde Park, at 11AM. Knox requires masks and social distancing, and we are unable to formally gather after the service. For those unable to attend, the service will be live-streamed at Knox.org.
Among Jodelle’s many interests, she had a particular passion for the arts and animals of all kinds. If desired, donations can be made to The Cincinnati Symphony or the SPCA, or the charity of one’s choice.
