Dear Jim, Mike, Karen, Chris, Dave, Diane and your families,
I was so sorry to read about Jeanne's death this morning in the paper. She was a wonderful woman who will be greatly missed. As I think back on her friendship of over 70 years with my mom, Kathleen Johnson, it's hard to pick out just one memory. However, one of my favorites was the barter system they had when I was in high school where Jeanne made all of our show costumes--and they were great!!--and my mom typed her papers for her masters degree. More recently, was so glad to see her at mom's 90th birthday party (thanks to Jim for bringing her!) and I really appreciated her regular calls to me to see how mom was doing. I will miss those calls and talking to her.
Richard and David and their families join me in sending you hugs, love and prayers. I am so sorry that I am out of town until August 6 and will miss her home-going but you will all be in my prayers during the mass and burial.
