Obituary of James "Bud" "Gump" Tekulve

James Edward Tekulve "Bud" "Gump "was 81 years old when he passed away peacefully with his family by his side on July 17, 2022. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Clifford and Alice Tekulve, brothers Charles, Daniel, Richard, Paul Tekulve and grandsons Liam and Bennett Drach. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judith (nee Muse); he was a loving father of John (Samantha) Tekulve, and Kelly (Jason) Drach; a dear grandfather to Sofia and Uma Tekulve, and Noah, Hannah, and Elijah Drach; a cherished brother of Audrey Rape, Janet Ramos, Donna Seaman, and Tom Tekulve; and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. James graduated from Purcell High School and went on to serve in the US Army. He was employed by Cincinnati Milacron and Hudepohl Brewery. His family would like to thank his physicians and Queen City Hospice for their compassionate care during his illness. We will never forget all that you did for him. The family will receive guests at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Road, Cincinnati, Ohio, (45236), on Thursday, July 21, 2022, from 5 to 7 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, July 22, 2022, at St. Margaret-St. John Parish, 6000 Watterson St., Cincinnati, Ohio (45227) starting at 10 AM. The rite of committal will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 11000 Montgomery Rd. Montgomery, Ohio, (45242), we will be driving in procession to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, (38105).
