Nancy and family- I will never forget going to the bank when I was a kid and Don wore a
blue and white suit (Searsucker?) he was always so nice to me and gave me lollipops. He
knew I like the grape ones. He was really good to my Uncle Cliff and to all the staff and customers
of the bank. I was honored to be on his PD journey in which I still enjoyed his jokes! He will be missed.
A true professional and overall great man. Lisa Coors

My heart is filled with sadness with the passing of a special guy. Don and Nan those two names just seem to slide off my tongue so easily because they were truly a marriage that were so meant to be there for each other. Like Pat and Joe, Jackie and Tom, Judy and Ray, Jerry and Mart, Roger and JoAnn, Alan and Joan, Dave and Kathy so many beautiful souls gone before us.
Don was such a special man married into this family of Frieses. Those of us who were lucky to have married into this family will never forget all the wonderful family memories made by a family that was held together by love and respect for each other. We will miss you Don and we will all try our best to be there for Nan and the boys and their families as they enter this time of mourning and grief. You fought a hard fight and now you can Rest in Peace! You will be missed forever but we were so glad to know you!

Very saddened to learn of Don's passing. Please accept my deepest condolences. I was very fortunate to know him through his long career at the Northside Bank & Trust. It was always a pleasure to see him and chat with him for many years. He will be greatly missed and long remembered. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

Don was a wonderful Northside ambassador, who, as a volunteer, played leadership roles with key Northside organizations. He was always gracious, helpful and generous with his time to those who wanted to learn more about the neighborhood.

Nancy, thank you so much for sharing Don with Northside for so many years. I met Don in 1986 or 1987 and he’d already accomplished so much as a leader in our Business Association. I always appreciated his positive attitude that bridged the ‘old guard’ and the new young upstarts moving into the neighborhood, like me. He was generous with his time and willing to pitch in however he could. No task was beneath him. Don was one-of-a-kind who will be remembered by many. I’m glad I got to see him two years ago for a little reunion. Wishing you and the family all my best.

Don worked at North Side Bank Bank & Trust Co. his entire career, he retired when he was 75. Don was the ultimate Northside volunteer who lived in Montgomery. Whether it be an active Board Member of CAIN, NBA or NEST, Don had Northside in his heart. Don was the treasurer of the NBA for decades. It will be many years before we see the characteristics that Don so simply and easily wore on the smile that always was on his face. Don was thru the thick and thin times in Northside, be somehow he believed the neighborhood was worth his unlimited attention and compassion. It would be easy to list the multitude of things Don volunteered for, but I know Don would prefer a simple thanks you without allot of fuss. He was not in it for the limelight, he simply believed it was the right thing to do. So here’s to Don Biemesche.
