This is a perfect example of the caring and compassionate person Fred was. This is our friend Dallas who started out as a Resident of ours and Dallas left PRCC several times but we always went to see him wherever he was. This time was a few months before Dallas passed away in 2020. He was a n bad need of a shave and Fred could not stand to see him that way so he got to work and took care of Dallas! I know that they are up there laughing and cutting up. Fred could always make Dallas laugh till he was crying and holding his side!!!

Dear Fred, you’ll forever be missed and forever in my heart i thank you for all the smiles, the laughs and support not only for me but my family as well. The way you made Amy smile, the way you loved her and cared for her portrayed through her sweet kind soul. With my eyes closed and my head bowed as i call out to God i ask that you continue to protect me, guide me, and continue to support me just as well as you did here on earth from front yard football to HS football and HS baseball trying to catch a ball with my eye and all the way to rodeo. i love and miss you Fred you may be gone but NEVER forgotten

It’s hard to find words that do justice to the life and memory of Fred. From our first time working together to our last conversation, every moment spent with him was filled with laughter, kindness, and genuine compassion. Fred had a rare ability to light up a room and lift the spirits of anyone lucky enough to be in his presence. Through his passion for caring for others, he left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His enthusiasm was contagious, and his drive to make the world a better place was inspiring.
We are all grappling with this tremendous loss, yet I am profoundly grateful for the time we had with Fred. He taught us what it means to be a friend, and those lessons will live on in us forever.
Goodbye, my friend. Thank you for everything. Until we meet again. Your friend, Dina.

I've waited till the last minute to write in my friend's tribute book because it's hard to capture in words how much Fred meant, and will always mean, to me. We met when we were teenagers and remained close every since. Throughout that long passage of time, we connected so effortlessly.
I can't begin to count the times we hung out, the good times, concerts, scary movies, long car rides, and music we listened to. He's the only person I've ever known who had a taste in music as eclectic as mine.
I can't begin to count the times he was there for me, supporting me during sad and tough times. He never asked what he could do, he just knew, and he did it.
I haven't known many souls as unique as Fred's. He was a humanitarian in every sense of the word. Interested, thoughtful, genuine, offering grace and wisdom so naturally.
No tribute to Fred would be complete without mentioning his easy smile and laugh, his offbeat sense of humor, and his wild imagination. He was flat out hilarious, making up words and nicknames for me and everyone else! I think I miss this the most.
I remember so clearly the look in his eyes when he first told me about Amy, the love of his life. And I cannot say how honored I was to be asked to stand up with him when they got married. They had the kind of love that everyone wants but few actually get. I'm so thankful that they found each other.
Fred, it's impossible for me to say goodbye to you. So I'll just say I love you and I'll see you later.
Until then,
Linda

Where do I begin. Fred Riley was a man of very words. He and I bonded over my friendship with Amy, food and Jazz music. Fred would share his favorite restaurants with me but he definitely would not share an extra 2-3 minutes I would try to chit chat with Amy at the end of the shift. He loved her so much he couldn’t wait to call her after work. Toodles Fred. I know we will all meet again.

You came into her life during a very sad time for her - grieving our mom and shortly there after our dad. You were her rock to lean on which was taken away from her way tooo soon. It takes such a caring and special person to care for the elderly for so many years like you did. Amy we pray that time helps to soften your pain and know that we are here to give you our love and support always. Love, Karen and Rob

I love you and miss you so much!!! I am truly blessed to have been loved by you!!! You always told me that you prayed long and hard to find me and God answered your prayers when you met me!!! He also answered my prayers when he brought you into my life!!! I just wish we would have had many more years together we were supposed to grow old together!!! Not only did you tell me every day that you loved me you showed me in many different ways and I felt it!!! You were my biggest cheerleader. You were my person, my safe place, my home, my whole heart!!! Your wings were ready but my heart was so not ready!!! I know you are up in heaven reunited with your parents your sister and my parents and all of your friends that you mentioned all the time and you missed dearly!!! My heart will not be whole again till I am with you once again!!! You came into my life when I needed you the most and got me through losing both my Mom and Dad seven months apart!!! Your love for me, your love of our animals, your sense of humor, the feel of your kiss and the feel of being in your arms are what I miss the most!!! You were my purpose in life!!! I am honored to be your Wife!!! I will treasure you and be your wife until I take my last breath and our souls are reunited!!! Your pookey bear forever and always!!! Our Wedding Day was the Happiest Day of my life and everything I ever dreamed of!!! I remember facing and singing Our Wedding song The Rest of Our Lives by Jeffrey Osbourne I just wish the rest of our lives didn’t come to an end so soon!!!! I LOVE YOU BABE!!!!

Hmm, where do I start? Lol. Fred was my guy! That was my friend that became my family. Fred always looked out for me and I always appreciated and loved him for that! He was a real genuine spirit. He never pretended to be anybody but himself. He was one of a kind. He was one of the most caring people I knew. To some he may have had a harder outer shell but he meant nothing but well for everybody. I miss seeing him at work. Me singing in the hallway and him looking over those tinted glasses saying, “I know you lyin” and we both laugh. Or me yelling down the hallway, “Freddy”! My friends and family had never met Fred but everybody knew about him lol. And they knew how I was coming over Fred lol. Even the people at work. I really miss my friend. He will forever have a place in my heart that’s for sure.

IN MEMORY OF FEDRICK T. RILEY
Some of the things that were meaningful to me as one of Fred’s closest friends who has grown with the paternal side of his family from the days of our early childhood to adulthood.
Fred was always a family person who spent a lot of time around all generations of his kin, be it his parents, sister, niece, nephews, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and his many cousins along with close friends he considered as family.
Fred and I linked back together again at work and high school. Fred began to become a true driver during the last few years of high school by driving a back and forth from school and work along with transporting Mrs. Riley on all errands and work, not mention taking pops (Fred Sr.) wherever he needed to go. We were hanging out again at that time. So, you could gather that he got a lot of highway time in those days. One of those occurred when our prom night came up during high school. We spent the evening and the next day at my first tennis tournament entered at “Queen City Raquet Club” in Tri-County. That moment was very brotherly for me and would not be the last time. We graduated Withrow High School together “1978” and walked that stage with same style “Yves Saint Laurent” shoes bought from “Dino’s” clothing store.
This brotherly friend of mine drove me to the airport to catch my flight to “Air Force” Basic Training and picked me up when I returned. Always there when needed and available.
It is true that he was a music afficionado who had an eclectic taste would have surprised many. His likes ranged from R&B, Rock, Jazz, Contemporary and anything that drew his attention which was further demonstrated by some of the live concerts we attended.
There are many things I am grateful for knowing Fred for and the wisdom he sometimes passed on without really knowing it.
Thank you very much Fred!
Love to you my friend and brother!
“REST IN PEACE”
IVAN

We used to have several homeless cats at work. Fred would carry cat food in his car and feed them everyday. He did it because he was a nice, caring person.
I will miss him.
I’m so sorry, Daddy. I love you.
