Obituary of Scott G. Weiland

WEILAND, Scott Garret, beloved husband of Karen (Kahler) Weiland for 36 years. He is the devoted son of Garret and Leola (Uhlenhopp) Weiland and the dear son-in-law of the late Ruel C. and Marianna Kahler. Loving brother of Cyndie (Tony) Salvatore and brother-in-law of Annamarie Kahler. Scott graduated from Ft. Dodge High School in 1978 and continued his education, graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He went on to build single family homes then moved on to commercial construction building hotels, medical centers and health complexes. He loved everything construction. Additionally, he was an avid fan of everything Land Rover and had a vast collection of Hawaiian shirts which he wore no matter the continent, season or temperature. Scott passed away on Sunday, April 14th at the age of 63 and is dearly missed by many. Scott is survived by his parents Garret and Le Weiland, sister Cynthia Weiland Salvatore, brother-in-law Antonio Salvatore, nephew Matt Salvatore and his wife Katie and their son Lane, and niece Jessica Salvatore Parker and her husband Cooper and their son Raleigh and daughter Jovie. A visitation will be held at the Celebration Center at Friendship Haven in Ft. Dodge, Iowa on May 8th 2-4 pm with a family prayer service following. No services are planned for Cincinnati, Ohio at this time.
