Obituary of Elmer L. Gassett

Elmer Lee Gassett, 79, of Madisonville, Ohio died Tuesday April 2,2024 at his home. He retired from Maketewah Country Club serving the country club for years and later retired from the country club. Elmer served as a House Chairman (2 years), Trustee (1 year), and a member of the Royal Knight Lodge #1596 for over 15 years. His favorite things to do were working in the yard and family events and time with family. He is survived by his sisters and brothers William Gassett (Evangeline) Betty Ware (David), Rosemary Chambers, and Alberta Gassett. He is preceded in death by both parents David Gassett (father) and Nellie Gassett (mother). The two united and gave Elmer life and throughout Elmer’s life his mother (Nellie) was Elmer’s best friend and loving mother until she was called home for enteral life. He is preceded in death by David Gassett, Jr (brother), Thomas Gassett (brother), Harry Gassett (brother), Calvin Gassett (brother), Norman Gassett, (brother). Elmer was always full-on life and love even at his last hours on earth that we call our temporary home now Elmer has gained his wings for enteral life. Elmer was always the person to lend a hand to a neighbor, family, and friends. Elmer was a man that always put a smile on your face and always told you I love you and see you later.
