Obituary
Obituary of Dennis J. Kehoe
Kehoe, Dennis James Paul, devoted brother of William Kehoe, Patrick Kehoe, the late Aidan
Kehoe Jr. and the late Michael Kehoe. Cherished uncle of Madeline (Thomas) Hartman, Joseph
Kehoe, Shannon Kehoe, the late Kelly Kehoe, and Colleen (Kevin) Baas. Fun-loving great uncle
to Eliana, Thomas, Joseph, Maximus, Khloe, Asher and Nolan. Loving friend to his sisters-in-
law Felicia Balmenti Kehoe and Karen Weil Kehoe, as well as to numerous cousins and other
relatives in Ireland. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aidan Kehoe and Ellen Coughlin
Kehoe and by his brothers Aidan Kehoe Jr. and Michael Kehoe. He passed away at his home
on Tuesday May 21st at the age of 79 years, 10 months, and 21 days, just 14 days short of his
80th birthday.
A defining characteristic of Denny (as he was known affectionately by family and friends) is best
expressed by the word caregiver. He was an ultimate caregiver. He provided loving care for his
parents as they each experienced ill health prior to their passing as well as for his brothers
Aidan, Jr. and Michael. Part of his loving care was his daily extended visits to his parents and
brothers all through their years of declining health. That loving care continued after their passing
by his daily visits to their graves.
Another defining characteristic of Denny was his long-standing and loyal devotion to the
Cincinnati Bengals. He was an avid fan of the Bengals and a season ticket holder since the
team’s inaugural season in 1968. He was unwavering in his support of the Bengals, much as he
was with his loving support of family and friends.
Denny worked in the field of Information Technology as a software developer, programmer, and
hardware specialist for the majority of his career. He was considered one of the foremost
pioneers in the IT field. He held managerial positions for E.R. Squibb Company and other
leading firms. In recent years, he was an active and much sought-after Information Technology
consultant. In recent conversations with his brother William, he expressed excitement and much
hope for all the good that he felt will flow from Artificial Intelligence (AI), ChatGPT, and other
such large language models.
Denny graduated from St. Gertrude School, Purcell High School, and the University of
Cincinnati. Through the years, he continued his education with completion of various
certification programs and professional workshops. Simply put, he always was at the top of his
game in Informational Technology.
