Joyce was a wonderful friend and loved by her neighbors at Juniperview Lane. We had lots of fun at the movies, the Aronoff, lunch dates and at Greaters. She could talk about almost anything and I loved catching up on current events as she was always up to date on the latest news. I was most impressed about her faith and the love she had for St. Gertrude Church. I enjoyed seeing her at her special spot at church, usually at the 4:30pm vigil mass. You will always be in my heart and prayers Joyce. May your soul rest in peace my dear friend. Love, Teresa, Jose, Peter and John.

Joyce was a very friendly and welcoming lady. She and I both suffered from a neck deformity that looked like they were the same decease, but surprisingly were note. I will miss her.

Joyce is a real great lady and well loved by friends here at the Bristol Community. I an very impressed by her deep devotion to the Holy Eucharist. She never fails to receive the Body of our Lord whenever the eucharistic minister comes to the facility. When she is not feeling good and is not able to come to the chapel, she makes sure the minister will go to her room. Feel so blessed to have met her. May her soul rest in peace.

Dear Julie and Family,
Our deepest sympathy on the passing of your dear mother. We were lucky enough to know and love her at The Bristol over the past year. Joyce always had a sparkle in her eye and greeted you with warmth. Joyce´s last earthly year was challenging and we are rejoicing with her freedom of her heavenly spirit surrounded by family and Jesus´s love. May you find peace and comfort knowing this and how she appreciated your unwavering support of her care. Love and Hugs Sally And Melody

I just spoke to a fellow parishioner at St. Gertrude's a week ago who said she had recently visited Joyce in Columbus. What a surprise to see the obituary! Deepest condolences to all Joyce's loved ones! She loved her family so much, and would often update me on how they were doing, or ask for my prayers for them at Saturday evening Mass. She loved her home, her neighbors, and apparently had a devotion to St. Padre Pio who had intervened in a very special way for someone in her family. She was a classy lady, who dressed so nicely to come to Mass, even in her 90s...and maintained her independence at home and driving (even driving to IN to visit loved ones) well into her advanced years. Praying for the repose of her soul, and for peace and consolation to all her loved ones. God bless you all.

Joyce and Jim became our next-door neighbors when we moved to Madeira in 1987. We enjoyed frequent conversations in our adjoining yards, where we could find Jim beautifying their property (and no, Jim, we still haven’t figured out how to conquer the moles), and with Joyce, who never tired of hearing about the latest development with our two sons.
After Jim passed, Joyce remained amazingly independent and active, always interested in neighborhood activities as she watched the neighborhood kids grow up. They were both very dear, and we will miss her.

Joyce snd Jim were our neighbors in Madeira. They were such wonderful people and I will always remember their kindnesses to our family, especially our young children.
After Jim died I often frequented Mass with Joyce at Saint Gertrude. She had a strong faith and I am sure that is what she relied on throughout her life. We know her family will miss her as she was a devoted wife, mother snd grandmother. May she rest in peace.
