I'm so sorry for the passing of such a great friend. I remember meeting Paul for the first time golfing at Maketewah and finding out that we both came from large Irish Catholic families. We had lots of laughs! I can still see him with an Ohio State lamp shade [made by his daughters] on his head as we celebrated an Ohio State vs. Notre Dame bowl game at his house. I'm sure he is adding to the humor in heaven!

I have greatly valued the last six years teaching with Paul at St. Gertrude School. His sense of humor and caring was evident to all who worked with him. I will especially remember how he would coach the boys to hold the doors open for a girl and would say " This is what a real gentleman does." Paul was a real gentle man and will be greatly missed.

Always had a good time with Mr D.He was my baseball coach for 2 or 3 years at least. When a fly ball was hit, he was saying back!back!back! long before there ever was ESPN!! He was quick to laugh at practice and in the classroom.Learning was actually fun!! I will miss him dearly.

I am so deeply saddened to learn of Paul's passing. I was at Regina High School when he taught there. He became a friend in addition to a teacher. His parents lived for a while in the same apartment complex as my parents and we would see each other there occasionally. Three years ago we had our Regina 35 year class reunion and Paul attended. We were all so happy to see him, and I think he had a really, really good time. I'm glad we all got to see him and reconnect with him then. He was a very good man and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his family.
