It has been deeply saddening to hear this news about Doug. There are no words that can take away the pain associated with this tremendous loss. The struggles Doug wrestled with during his life are now gone and he is now in a peaceful place watching those he loves from above. We are all on this earth for the length of time in Gods divine plan. I will keep Doug alive through my memories and I will continue to pray for peace and a lighter heart for those he left behind.

I have great memories of Doug when we were kids. We are only 9 months apart in age and, as kids, Doug and his sister Pam, and me and my sister Amy enjoyed running around and exploring Grandma & Grandpa Freudenberg's big house on Red Bank Road. I will always remember Doug as my fun loving cousin with a great sense of humor. I also remember my visit to Doug's family's house in North Carolina as a young boy. We had a great time playing in the neighborhood. I will miss you, Doug! My love to Aunt Carole and the rest of the family during this time of grief.

back when we used to work together at NG in Baltimore, he loved that song 'dance hall days'. I was flipping through the radio stations on the drive home and it was on, kind of freaked me out a little bit. Don't hear it often on the radio. I lost touch with him once he left the York, PA area. We had a lot of laughs at work. Sorry to his children, and parents.

Doug was a genuinely nice guy. He was one of the first people I met when I worked in Pennsylvania. We use to take smoke breaks together. He will be missed and remembered.
