My dad was a first cousin to Russel. His name was Robert Schmolt, son of Lawrence Schmolt. Lawrence and Eleanor were brother and sister. When we were smaller we were more connected to the family through all the cousins. I do however remember your mom through my own mother, Rella Schmolt. Rella liked your mom, as your mom was a talker, as I recall, and they always connected at family outings. My dad would go out to visit the
Given Rd. house and visit your dad. When my mom died in 2005 and we cleaned out her dresser, we found all the picture Christmas cards that your parents sent. When it skips generations, lesser and lesser connects us all and it is sad.
Robert, my dad, and his brother Lawrence are deceased. Mary Alice Schmolt McLaughlin is 89 and lives at Bayley Place nursing home. I have sent this news to my cousins and to those I have talked to, sympathy has been sent your way. My sister and I send our condolences as well.
