I was so saddened and surprised when I heard of Betty’s passing. I came to know Betty at church and soon realized what a special woman she was. Betty always had a smile and a way to make me feel special whenever we met. When my dad moved to Twin Lakes, Betty made sure to roll out the welcome mat for him. Last summer Betty invited me to have lunch with her at Twin Lakes, and we had a such a nice afternoon. Her home was was so pretty and inviting. Another thing that was very evident, was the love that Betty had for her family. My dad and I ran into her once at the original pancake house where she was having lunch with her daughters. You were all laughing and having the best time. I vividly remember the huge smile on Betty’s face as she proudly introduced everyone. I hope your special memories of your Mom bring you comfort as you go forward.
