We only knew Maggie for five years. As we became neighbors, most of our visits took place across our fence. The conversations were usually about the yards, gardening, and the squirrels and birds that we shared. Maggie loved our 2 little black dogs. She liked to see them run around and bark.
I do remember sharing about our Catholic faith. I was a convert and she was to become a Catholic soon. Maggie is with those who loved animals like she did and especially our one little dog who left 1 year ago.

Maggie had a great love of all creatures. Our dog Honey was always on the lookout for Maggie to be in her garden to get a cuddle.
I will miss Maggie’s love of animals and her gardening advice, and I will think of her when I look at her garden and the love, she poured into it. RIP Maggie. Love Josephine McLachlan & Douglas Knehans

Aunt Maggie was a Blessing to us all. We loved when she would come to the mountains to visit and going on our walks. She always made us laugh, but she also touched our hearts with stories she would tell. Stories about her animals and the compassion she had for them made us realize we all can make a differnce no matter how small. We have taken in countless cats and dogs through out the years and gave them the best life we could.
We had the pleasure of getting to visit Aunt Maggie and Michael a few years back. We were welcomed with open arms. I just wish we could have stayed longer. But the visit was so special to us in our heart and will never be forgotten.

Maggie and I had been friends for years before she married Mike. I loved her sense of humor, warmth, and quiet good cheer.
My favorite comment from her was once she was irritable, and when asked, she said she had a which broom, and it was multi-engined.
Until she joined WP Dolle, we only visited together at insurance meetings, where she often knew the subject better than the speaker.
My clients loved her, and often complemented me on her ability to solve any problem had by the client.
I lost track of she and other friends after I retired, and am saddened to hear of her illness and death.
My condolences to Mike and family, and offer my prayers for her.

My Aunt Maggie was the sweetest, kindest person I knew. My last trip to Ohio to visit her we had a awesome time. She made you feel so special. She will be so missed. Go rest high on that mountain Maggie with your brothers & sister ❤️

What a pleasure it has been to know Maggie! A devoted wife and beautiful friend I have had the privilege of knowing Maggie for over 20 years. From holiday parties, to tailgates in South Bend, and stressful Saturday afternoons watching the games from home, Maggie always brought a smile and calm, elegant demeanor to even the most chaotic scenes.

Maggie is my great aunt, my daddy was Roy Bailey. I always admired Maggie, the way she carried herself, spoke with truth, just a wonderful lady. She grew up very humble but she arose and succeeded. I will always remember a time when I was a young girl Maggie had came to the mountains to visit and she took me to a local swimming pool which was a real treat for me and she had pack lunch. While sitting by the pool eating she ask me what did I want from life, I really don't remember what I said but I sure remember what she said."don't you want more, there's a big world out there waiting for you"
